She Lingers Poem by Stephanie Marsh

She Lingers

In the middle of the night she lingers for his touch. trying to hide her hunger for his love. He strokes her face were the tears ran down. In her ear he whispers softly the words she wants to hear. She tries not to give her heart to him. Fore, he is just a monster trying to break her love for them. She is weak only want to hear those words once more. Then she realizes he is not trying to hurt her just love her for who she really is. It would be the first time not to be loved the least. She liea a wake till the morning sun comes. Woundering who he really is. She never met anyone or thing so sweet as him. Only to find out it was only a dream. NO beast knows how to love a human being. Not even her own kind could love such a thing.
In the middle of the night she lingers for his touch. Trying to hide the hunger for his love.
