She'Ll Be Home Soon Poem by Jenna Moore

She'Ll Be Home Soon

She'll be home soon, she always is at ten.
There she is!
I see her pretty blonde head just outside the window, locking up her car.
She'll be up soon, just after she checks the mail.
I've waited so long, but I've been very patient.
The click of the lock and the wishs of water across the hardwood floor announces her presence.
Quick! Behind the bedroom door!
It's been so long, weeks of hiding, weeks of spying...
Finally, I will have her.
I really wish she hadn't screamed, it only made me mad.
It's always easier when they don't scream, but they always do.
I had to shut her up.
Someday, I'll find a girl who won't scream, maybe then..
She'll live...
