She Moves Poem by Kristopher Scott

She Moves

Every start needs an end
couldn't see this coming, when it all began
blind to realize, as a matter of fact
death is what keeps life intact
attempted a good life, but all ends the same
bartering with his soul, it's all a game
he will soon cease to exist, on this board,
involved in a game of survival, but never scored
he didn't think, wasted his life away
death is drawn to him fast, with no delay
could catch him now, but would rather wait
enjoys the anticipation of toying with his fate.
the list is comfirmed and double checked
visions of automobiles creating a wreck
high speed, driving with no concern
lesson given, but not enough time to learn
too slow to react, as puddles appear
frightening feeling as the car starts to veer
off the road, headed in the wrong direction
collisions occurs, victims awake with little recollection
no life in his car, as paramedics rescue
unfornately, in your case, death took more than you
his son in the back seat, no longer alive
plus three in the opposing vehicle, adding up to five
death has made her visit, and gone to the next
to foresee her patterns, could be complex.
she could take me as i stroke this key,
maybe then, my thoughts would be free.
