She read to me Dylan Thomas
A Child's Christmas in Wales
With such ease and relish i realised
This was his genius to speak for a child
And be a child while coining language
of such bibulous & biblical complexity
yet retaining the sincerity and insouciance
of a child as he prattled and his prattle was the prattle
of children everywhere who still remember
it's a game and an adventure and here for the
involving and enjoying and not as we have made it
a Cross to bear and a Sin to be redeemed
and that this is the hallmark
of genius everywhere
