She Strangles Me Poem by Adens Kamwi

She Strangles Me

She strangles me
squeezing the veins and arteries
which lead to my cardiac capillaries
she calls me constantly
without saying a word she calls me
'hello are you lonely? '
am i, i wonder, for love i hunger
constantly falling under like rainy weather
she is my only sky
i look for her clouds and sunny days
which set my heart ablaze
she is my night sky with twinkling stars
my universe without mars
for i am her only man
and she is my woman
but she strangles me, honestly
with no remorse or mercy
she strangles me constantly
