Across the oceans vast and wide,
Where the coral rides the tide and
The waves lap over the sand,
And wash away the castles that can not withstand.
My life is often like this,
It’s not all that happiness and bliss and
It definitely is not the best but
It is stronger than the rest.
‘cos in the jungle and through the rain,
I put up with the water and the pain and
Wait to see the rainbows and flowers appear
Like the understanding from a tear.
On the moon and in the stars,
The light creeps all over my scars and
I have faith in my Lord,
He is my shield and my sword.
In this dying world,
I look toward my pearl,
The God who created all
Who gave us all things big and small.
He gave up his son for my sinner’s gain!
He sacrificed himself so we can win this game!
He made a way for me to stop the rain!
He is my saviour and king again!
‘Cos across the oceans vast and wide,
Where the coral rides the tide and
The waves lap over the sand,
And wash away the castles that can not withstand!
