Shiny Bicycles. Poem by Bam Bam

Shiny Bicycles.

Lines that once formed scribbles
There forming pictures now
Detailed, complex, interwinding and stark
Pictures that once were vibrant
Are now turning dark
There once was a time
When we mingled like vines
Now we sit and we stare
And we face off and we drink
We’re willing to do anything
Except it seems to think

Back in them lighter days
I would wake up when it was crisp
The ground would be fresh
And the air still bracing
The climbing frame and monkey bars
Was where my mind was facing
Now its luck if I start
When daylight seems to end
The nausea so hard hitting
And the headaches a trend

Older but non wiser,
Bigger but not stronger
Im wide awake late at night
Im climbing on a promise
That my head was on tight
I feel like my heart is still there
But it seems
That led me to the most despair

I once was my own
Perfectly formed best friend
Imagination ruled in a world
That seemed to have no end
In wonder and fascination
Spledour and awe
What I would give
To still feel so pure
