Siblings Poem by Ragy Sandid

Siblings

Rating: 4.0

Can we go back
To where it all started?
To those innocent days
When we were tight-hearted.

Can we return
To when a kind look
Meant one will take care of one
No matter what it took?

Can we trick the past
Into keeping the photo album
A live action that repeated
The care in a star filled dome?

Can this happen
Before jealousy struck its rod
Before two hearts grew apart
Because of things each one's got

That end up one
With the power and the riches
While the other one
Deals with the dishes and the ditches

One looks up
To the other whose money changed
One looks down
And stated that he can feel the pain

Both look back
At some still memory moments
Then turn away
Adornment decrees atonement
