Sick And Tired Poem by Debra DeVeney

She's been fighting cancer
six long months
radiation and chemo treatments
shrunk one tumor
removed the infected kidney
but still it spread


She's ready to give up
no strength to fight stage four
tired of hurting all the time
tired of being sick and tired
tired of all the doctors and their damn test
tired being in and out of a hospital


She is wanting them to leave her alone
Sick of them taking her blood
sick of being sick and tired
sick of going to doctors
sick of being poked and prodded
sick of being a cumbersome to her family
