Silence,
Screams as loud as thunder.
Sadness,
My companion at my side.

Wishes,
My soul dared to dream.
Empty,
Tears shed while running.

Dreams,
A warm and loving haven.
Coldness,
A brave front put on.

Reality,
A choice made for another.
Love,
My child’s happiness put first.

Distance,
Unable to get away.
Tolerate,
Daily reminder of it all.

Love,
The heart never listens.
Pride,
Never beg, never be a fool twice, walk on.

Time,
Does not make all things better.
Time,
Has failed me on this one, damn it.

Adoration,
One word says it all.
Forever,
I am weak for you and only you alone.

Unique,
Never met another quite the same.
Forever,
I will see you in my dreams.


Sadness,
I will never taste you or hold you.
Breathe,
Left foot, right foot, mile after mile.
Day after day.
