Silence Poem by Kayla Elizabeth

Silence

Can you hear me
screaming, banging on the walls?
Of course not.
Why would you?
It's all inside
Pure and untouched
Until brought up once more

It sears holes big enough to crawl into
Strong enough to hold me and my pain

Til you crack it open
Piece by piece you break it away
My secret haven
No one can touch me
But it never lasts

When it all comes flooding back
How ill you know
You won't
Not until you dig it up
You'll feel my pain
but it quickly fades
That single moment reveals my truth, my weakness

You had to bring it out
