Silence Poem by Zechariah Macon

Silence

Rating: 5.0

Still beats the becoming
stronger than last
year(silence becomes the night)
in every tree
saying to every
manner of plant
that still beats the
time of heart
the same sorrows
the same joys
the same loves
replay themselves over
and over
until
we wish and
beg for a
(night in the middle of day)
in such instance
we wish
exsistence away
lulled by
some comfort in
our self pity
we(realize just how)
simple we
really can be
but the same pain(that)
is here for you
to clog your mind
to look for you
growing you tighter to the bind
But I(unlike so many of we)
have chosen(been)
in so many times where
DEATH asked gently
to take
me
I reasoned
WHY
HE asked WHY
NOT
