Silence Poem by Talisha Hetrick

Silence

I never knew seven letters could kill,
That so many people die at anothers will.
No words, no tears, just cuts they refuse to see.
Maybe worthless is all you'll ever be.
The silence that occurs time and time again eventually leading to the end.
It tears me apart till there's no tears left to cry,
And it seems like my only option is to let myself die.
It isn't like anyone cares either way,
As I appear more dead to the world everyday.
I can't talk about it, can't find the words,
And even when I do it's like no one even heard.
I don't know how to make you see when you refuse to look.
Can't remember a time when I had all that it took to point it out,
and make it known.
Everything that my words have already shown,
rarely do I let people see,
Who silence has caused me to be.
Never thought silence would cause my end,
It's no surprise, I'm wrong again.

Very powerful this one, it's like silence is the voice of the dead. It's like your dead anyway and nothing matters to you anymore, all that's left is this last howling cry before u depart.
