there are sunsets more calming
and panic more alarming
than you voice is charming
but i love you

an owl is wise
and a fox will be cunning
but you are my girl
and to me you are stunning
and an ox might be strong
and i may just be wrong
to tell you i love you
to kiss you again

there are rivers still flowing
and hearts that are glowing
and our love is growing
and i need you

silence may break
and my arms will shake
but no one will take
you away from me

as foolish as i am
you pull me in closer
i kiss you so quickly
because nothings forever
as i lay beside you
you whisper so gently
baby forever,
is you laid beside me
