Silence Isn'T Enough Poem by Shalom Freedman

Silence Isn'T Enough

Silence is not enough -
We speak and write
To be human-
We cannot simply be empty inside forever-
Our words give us life
And we must try them
Otherwise we die inside.

If I do not write
I somehow do not live-
If we do not speak to each other
We somehow are not human.
