Silence Of Color Poem by James Thorne

Silence Of Color

In the silence, eyes closed—
a whispered voice rises.

A painting appears,
in colors shimmering,
each blending
in hues of memory.

A halo frames— my mother's face.
An echo of her presence.

Silent, yet filled with love,
an angel's light upon a canvas.

Budding leaves return to life,
in colors of vibrant green.

Crimson and yellow flowers,
stretch across distant fields.

In the quiet, moments resurface.
Masterfully woven into time.

Each a color upon a canvas,
a watercolor of melding hues,
darkness and light.

Colors flowing, a river churning,
to fill a waiting sea.

In the silence, eyes closed.
I feel a breath whispered—

A touch of her essence..

In the hush I see a portrait,
each stroke laid with care.

Mother and child lovingly rendered—
in the silence of color.
