Silence Speaks? Poem by Mohit Badola

Silence Speaks?

Everything doesn't need to be said
Sometimes you can't do with the silence
They say silence speaks a thousand words
Why can't they be heard?
Every dropp of rain has a story to tell
Gone to waste in the silence
For which the world has no time
Fading heartbeats don't ring a bell anymore
Nor do these tears mean a word
Everything lost in the noises of this world
There's peace in hearts of people
They search for it everywhere
Some run after love never theirs
When loving themselves is all they need
A look in the mirror shows reality
You are all you've got- it's all that you need
What the world gives you is not yours
Nor can this life forever be
There is sorrow in some hearts
They never got what they wanted
In the darkness of the silent night
A lonely fire of desire burns
This world is lost
People lose sleep over something that can never be theirs
A fire of hate in them so strong
They have forgotten what love is
Where love is dying in the hearts
Thoughts can't find way in words
Feelings can't be felt anymore
And tears are all that rain
There are lights in some hearts
While someplace life is fading away
There is happiness in someplace
As some shed a silent tear
This world is so unfeeling
The people are so cold
Where there is no time to hear the cries of death
How can silence speak a thousand words? ? ?
