Silent Poem by Ryan Waldron

Silent

It's been a while since I've wrote,
these bottled words in my throat
The daily grind gets to me
my soul begging to be free

So much noise outside these walls
as I type silence falls
Words become reality
silence is my serenity

Just close my eyes and I can see
the silent moments just you and me
Your hand in mine, head on my shoulder
slowly, together we grow older

Noise seeps in and destroys my slumber
a single tear I try to cumber
Awake I pray for my moment of quiet
to hold you one last time in private
