Silent Poem by Asilat Senoj

Silent

Rating: 3.5

Searching for the right words to say when you are too angry. Trying to make amends when all you want is to curse, shout, and scream out loud. Instead you stay silent. You dare not speak on any real emotion for fear of losing all that’s close to you. Only to find that same silence is what killing you inside. You become dead. No more laughs or cries. Emptiness begins to consume the very last bit of life you have. How do you explain that ache, that pain, the emptiness leaves? How do you tell someone you’re sorry but the friend you once knew is now lost somewhere in the shell of her old self? You don’t. You stay silent.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is more of a spoken word style kind of poem. I'm not very good. I honestly just wrote this after going through some things. Writing has helped ease some of the pain. Enjoy.
