Silently She Lay Poem by Brenda Harper

Silently She Lay

Rating: 3.0

Silently she lay
Her head was running a round
Her heart started to ach
Her emotions hit ground
Tears came flooding through
Washing down her cheek
Trying to stop the pain
She held her breath and tried to speak
No words were there
Silence was all that came out
Building up more
She tried to shut her mouth
Her mind just kept going
Fueling the pain within
And the tears just kept coming
Excuses to why would begin
Trying to hide what she wanted no one to see
She made the excuses
When her voice was found free
But everyone knew
They were not too blind to see
But they really had no cares
For she was not important to thee
