Silently She Sits Poem by Luke Quaranta

Silently She Sits

Rating: 2.0

Silently she sits, patiently tending to my needs
Consoling me in my sadness,
Strengthening me in my weakness,
Picking me up when I fall down,
And listening when my voice has lost all hope,
She asks for no thing in return,
Her heart is set on that which cannot be felt by the hand
But rather by the heart;
My words cannot do justice to her meaning,
Without her, I am a shell, reduced to rubble
Without her, I had no past, and I have no future…
So where my actions fail I hope that words may prevail
To tell her what her life has meant to me
And that it has changed me for eternity…
