Silk Sick Poem by Key Rose

Silk Sick

I am slathering
I am an awful, awful, no good thing
I am blazing, sick

with a fever meant to maim

meant to hunt, and harm

and dig in deep, in all that silk

soft of flesh, the sweetness

new blood inside the bone
I am meant for this, I was always

meant to wet my teeth in

blood
in animosity for

what I behold

as weak, weak in my same

places, the ones
I bury

deep so they cannot

be felt, be found

Silk Sick
