Silly Girl Poem by Anastasiia Aleeva

Silly Girl

I was taught from younger years that love is blind
Never let a pretty boy to make your mind
But than I saw your lovely face
And all my thoughts are went away
You were so kind and so polite
Could I resist your pretty smile?
You cared for me. Well, so I thought
I trusted you're in love with me
And every word, and every sight
Believed they were to make me free
But I was wrong. So silly girl!
I was a tool to reach your plans
And now I look into your eyes
So beauty but as cold as ice
And wonder if you ever felt
Emotion, kind of my regret.
