Simple Sunday - Poem by Michael P. McParland
A simple Sunday to lay back relax and dose,
the perfect day and the perfect time.
Today just to lay back and think of
old times and the good they had.
A simple Sunday to close my eyes and dream
of a lady so fine and fair she enraptures me.
Dream of all the times we shared letting the
abundant good outweigh the bad times we had.
No need for negative thoughts where love is felt.
They were mistakes from which we have learned.
A simple Sunday praying for the dream of mine,
to open up my messages and see her precious name.
A beautiful message with words of love,
I know that it will happen please let it be today my Queen.
A simple Sunday filled with hope and future dreams.
A simple Sunday I can feel her love,
she is so very special my sweet Angel dove from high above.
A true gift and blessing I am grateful for
because she is so beautiful my only one.
A simple Sunday spent working on my faults for her.
A simple Sunday my sweet Angel and best friend,
I'm sending all my loving warmth your way.
You have given me more than you can know
and I thank you truly for all you've done.
Feel me close wrapped in my arms
I'm holding you so tight on this simple Sunday
filled with loving dreams and hope.
You are my Queen and greatest dream.
I'm greateful for all the love you send to me,
and I'm sending you back all of mine.
