Simpler Times

I long for simpler times
When life was different
Dreams were clear

When days were longer
And night never seemed
To break the horizon

When laughs came easily
And no tears were shed
For there was no sadness

Confusion never existed then
We knew our purpose
We had a drive

Those days seem so far away
Like a distant memory
Of a life we once lived
