Since when did things coalesce-
Into vainglorious, silent excess?
For appearances often disappoint,
But inner beauty, the Soul does annoint:
With Light and Grace from the Divine,
I wish our Souls I could intertwine.
Affixed forever under Saturn's moon,
But you left before the glare of noon.
And with you, Aeternum, is only my Heart,
Mayest it from thou, never depart.
For the Soul lives for Eternity,
Like a day without you, is for me.
And Fall's clime shall soon grow cold,
Each leaf is a new story told;
Nature's 'Iliad' blooming before us,
Courtesy of Agnes Dei and Holy Dominus.
