Since You'Ve Been Gone Poem by Phill Lee

Since You'Ve Been Gone

And the stars don't shine like they used to, as when I watched them with you.
They used to reflect your beauty & your passionate eyes.
But now they disguise, vivid imposters of a memory so precious... I dare not hold true.
Life, a word so broad, changing meaning as time forces by, nurturing & torturing, as only time sees fit.
And now, now I am lonelier than the people I loved, but I never knew why.
So let me awake tomorrow so that I may sleep now, safe from this world that forgot to love, when the stars lost their inspiration... & when I lost you.
