I know words cannot express
What i have done to you
Made you rise, then fall
Like the sun & moon

Yet i cant help but feel sorry
For how many times ive hurt you
Left you to fall in love
Then watch you cry,
from a broken heart

So i know saying sorry
wont make up for the pain
The pain that i caused you
Nor will it heal the wounds
Left upon your aching heart

I know sometimes its hard
But you must stand strong
And make things work
Work to your advantage

The chills i recieved the day
Day you found your true love
You met him at college
He was truly the one
For love at first site is rare
So know i found someone for you
So forgive me if you can


I am truly sorry for the rain
But the happiness i felt that day
The day you got engaged
On your graduation day

Soon you got married, the pride
One that makes me proud
To see how far you truly have come
Becoming a strong loving person

Watched you become a family
Even helped you concieve
For i really am trying to say sorry
I even granted your wish
Giving you a baby girl

Did my best so she wouldnt cry
I even granted her every wish
That she said on her birthdays
I guided her through school, protecting her
From the bullies that wouldve harmed her

So forgive me as i ask
For her going to college
Was at my hand, she is smart
I even helped her understand
What she was learning to do

Now heading out to college
Far from home, away from you
Leaving all behind to a new place
On journey of her own.

So once again forgive me
If you can, but i cannot appologize
For keeping her safe, growing up
She alone was truely a blessing

I even help her find her path
To stay away from what could harm her
So forgive me please i ask
Because i did it all for her

You may think life is harsh
But believe me, its a journey
One we all eventually take
When we become able to make our choices

Now that she met her true love
She is heading off to the world
To live her own life, but know
The tears you cry are not pain but joy

Im sorry, she grew up too fast
But know she truely is loved
For without you, shed be a mess
So be proud as you walk her down the ile

I am sorry that your first grandchild
Was a boy not a girl like you asked
But know she wanted a little boy
One to name after her dad

Believe me when i say im sorry
But the things i do are not easy
People say they hate life
That really hurts me alot but
What i do is to help those who need
Who need guidence so forgive me
I know life was not easy nor perfect
But know you did good.
