Sinking Poem by Elijah Jackson

Sinking

A frame without a picture
A sky without a sun
A empty void where my heart once was
Drowning in a sea of heartbreak, nowhere to run

Nothing to evaporate the rain
Coming from my eyes
Nothing to bring light to the darkness
No one to hear my anguished cries

My heart is nonexistent
So why do I feel the pain of heartache?
I gave you my all
And you gave me heartbreak

Haunted by the ghosts of you
Cursed by your dark magic
Do you know what I have to endure?
Why is life so tragic?

A life without love
Is the life you gave me
You put me in these chains
You left me in bondage, I can't get free

My heart is gone
So why does it weigh me down?
I'm sinking in a sea of heartbreak
Why did you make me drown?
