Sir Nizamut Jung (1871-1955) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Sir Nizamut Jung (1871-1955)

Son of
Late Nawab Rafath Yar Jung Bahadur,
Subedar of Warangal,
Nizamat after receiving his education locally
Joined Trinity College, Cambridge
And after his B.A. and LL.B.
Returned back from,
Joined the Bar,
Called by the Inner Temple
And was Barrister-at-Law.

Practised as Advocate at Madras High Court,
Worked as District Judge, Parbhani
And after serving as City Magistrate
And the Under-secretary of the Legislative Deptt.,
He was appointed as the Chief Justice of Hyderabad Deccan High Court.

A writer of sonnets, he writes about
His understanding of thoughts and ideas,
As random reflections
About Golconda and the Deccan too,
But the spirit of India he fails to catch it up in some way.
