Siren's Song Poem by Marcelo Quiroga

Siren's Song

A voice so serene... yet secure,
Calling me to a void, how impure
A chill in the air soon sweeps in
A darkness that stirs.. Where have I been?
Echos of an angel, Shreiking from within
The voice calls me to..

I begin to decend
Tethering hands come to bind me down
Approtching the ground, my mind begins to bend
An endless sleep, my hatered unbound.
A lifeless walk to a song, so sweet
A woman stands, untouched by darkness

She begins to walk, such grace
Such a beauty to heal my blight
To soft a touch.. I must fight!
An infection seeps in..
Networks of black streaks, not unlike painted falls
Stitch across my body

My sickness a new, without folly..
Blood a flame, my world goes dark
within my veins comes my final remark..
That woman, she stole..
My soul embarks
