Sirens Poem by Alyssa Diane

Sirens

Rating: 5.0

The sounds come from all over,
The wind blows so fast,
The cries of a distant lover,
The dreams that go by and never last,
Sirens all over, I can hear them near and far,
Tears I’ve cried, but they’ve never actually formed,
The sounds travel near me as I sit in the backseat of the car,
The times I’ve sat back and cried, never being warmed,
You showed me love, but now that you’re gone I have everything to lose,
I’m wide open; I’m an easy target,
Shoot you arrows, take your aim, I’m a stupid little goose,
And now I sit alone, as you pick it and lock it.
