Sitting In The Center Of The Circle Poem by Robert Hilary

Sitting In The Center Of The Circle

Sitting in the center of the circle, I cast my almond eyes upon the burning star in the heavens, its sunlight gleaming from high upon the Horizon, watching clouds go by and birds fly, the trees sway to and fro as the wind blows, the gentle breeze carrying away all my worst woes, I close my eyes to see the video in my minds eye as I ponder within to that which is my mind, in my breathe I pace myself, steadying my being within the calm of each breath I take, I open my eyes as if to wake, to see the moon shinning in the sky, the clouds thick with rain, as the stars glisten in the night, my almond eyes are greeted by the eves light and I hum to the beauty of the sight. As I gaze upon the heavens in it's might. And as the rain drops begin to fall I ponder it all. The cosmic moon reflecting in my eyes as I gaze upon the sky. Drops of rain fall upon my checks and it begins to pour. I bide within the center of the circle, and brace the coming storm, as the nightwind blows, through the trees, whispering to them secrets that are sung by their leaves, and I sit and ponder, about all that had past, and in humbility and love, my spell I cast. Into the heavens, unto the night, unto the stars, unto their light. <3
