Skin And Memory Poem by Brian Sonberg

Skin And Memory

Music drips like
A satin sky
Dripping frustration
Shares a moment
Entwined
Notes match
Rain
Breaths slow
Time.
Time too short
Forgotten
Abandoned to wherever
The streets lead
There once was a scent,
In clothes it no longer remains
But in every breath still felt
The Night sighs in her memories
Of skin and
Dewy embrace
Will morning shed light
Replace this memory
A stranger asleep
At her side
With the first warm kiss
Of day she turns
Tastes the tears
And wipes my dreams away
