Skin Deep Poem by Philip St. Cyr

Skin Deep

When you look at someone,
tell me what you are seeing
Do you see merely their epidermis,
or do you into the very core of their being?
Why should we judge people by their bodily frame,
by their skin color, status, or even by their name?
So before you start judging a person by the reflection in the mirror,
you should look deep inside and forget about his figure
In your mind I hope these words you keep
because a person's appearance is only skin deep.
