Sledding Poem by Jim Milks

Sledding

The sun shines on the frozen ground
And on the adults bundled tight against the cold
Sparkling like diamonds causally tossed around
The children so fast, so brave so bold

Flailing arms and legs and hat flying in the wind
Pearls of laughter floating gently on the air
Everyone cold and wet, but no one really cares

Then at last when the final run is done
The mad dash to the house for the warm fire
And hot chocolate the sun sets and another day has past
