Sleep And Awake: Which Way Poem by Jona PoloRamirez

Sleep And Awake: Which Way

While you were awake
Silence and stillness reigns
Glary lights all mundane
And wonder what to make
Of one still up in chain
Hooked up to the four-cornered
Machine.

Days come and go
The clock in motion
Everyone picking up toils to do
Except for one immobile and
Motionless too, if steered up
A commotion for you.

Drag those physical features
Hard working young brain
Struck a measure to find a treasure
Ere you'll stay awake and none to speak
While silence and stillness reigns.
