Sleeping Poem by Stephan van Pinksteren

Sleeping

How do you go to sleep?
If you can't sleep at all.
What will you do?
I'll be waiting for your call.

Still you do not answer.
Are you asleep are you dreaming?
What is going on in your head?
What are you feeling?

I won't try anymore,
Sleep has become a stranger to me.
And I hold the knife,
That will set me free.
