Slice Of Respect Poem by tony ndesh

Slice Of Respect

when the preacher begun
that's the only time I was asked to take my hat off
this guy tried to make me
and I just worn it back as I left the crowd.

(II)

I know why they like their hats
and don't want to remove them
those village boys
I know why they like hats

their heads are damaged
it's pretty cold up there
for shelter
to even hide an age
and what the head looks like
the drunk ones you'd like them with hats it's just allowed.
