Slim - Poem by Sarah Whelan

This is an affectionate madness I’m lingering in
Magpie of glances and brushes of skin
I gather fragments of days
At night they play
Seamlessly joined behind my eyes

My body approves this descent into madness
I now know the scent of your skin laces air that you touch
I can suddenly hear
Crystal clear
The cadence of your voice in a crowd
