Slippery Prey Poem by RIC BASTASA

Slippery Prey

you are the wildest boar
in my chosen forest
and i am the hungry man
there wanting to catch
you slippery like an oiled
bamboo, and sometimes i surrender
to this chase, and so
i contented myself with
coconut worms instead.
