Slipping Away - Poem by Emily Knight

Don’t tell me to live
Cause I’m dying inside
Don’t tell me to go on
Cause I’m quitting

I’m falling into myself
Forgetting to hold onto life
My soul is slowly slipping away
I’m giving in to the emptiness

I used to live
Every day with a smile, masking the depression
But then one day I let go
And let myself fall

I’m falling into myself
Forgetting to hold onto life
My soul is slowly slipping away
I’m giving in to the emptiness

Don’t try to save me
Don’t want to come out
I want to stay inside this place
Because this is where I feel safe

I’m falling into myself
Forgetting to hold onto life
My soul is slowly slipping away
I’m giving in to the emptiness
