Slumps Poem by YEISHA GONZALEZ

Slumps

When the world has you down,
What dominate are frowns
You feel like every new day - brings new pain
Think positive is what you say
But my soul is in disarray.
One person that tries to defeat all odds,
Yet that’s the person whom I let fall.
Upholds my happiness on his platter-
Day in day out, sweet laughter.
Each hug and kiss filled with amorous.
Our nights end up with lust, yet there have been no thrusts.
A different form of care is what I get,
Unusually farfetched. Getting use to it, nuts!
I cannot fathom why there’s hardly trust.
Pain and hurt from the past is stuck.
