Slurring My Words - Poem by Kyle Schlicher

it's a sure sign

of the distorted gamble

when the lies
sound the same
as the truth.

sonic repercussions
echo
forever
thru
space
occupied< br>by unrelenting penitence

hold on,

hold
on
to
my
hand,

don't let go.

i can feel the numbness
coming
on,

relief is on the way.

can you understand
what i am trying to say?

everybody has their own way out
of
this
wicked,
cruel life.

follow me,

i choose this way out.

    Numb Relationship Repercussions Echoes

    first I loved title slurred
    tongue numb hypnotic lure trance
    afflicted words mesmerizes

like a flame to a moth attracts
    then was swallowed by words
    husk singed burned flamed

    sonic repercussions
    numbness lacks penitence
    when truth echoes lies
