Smashed Lily. (Post Modern Legacy) Poem by Marcondes Pereira

Smashed Lily. (Post Modern Legacy)

Arrogance became self esteem, we believe in pride.
We say that we want peace, but we prepare ourselves for strife.
We ignore death, however we throw away life.
We forgot moral sense, We don't look inside.

Relativism is a excuse,
A filthy disguise
To violence.
Smashed lily, death of innocence.

Violence became entertainment, We're dwellers of new Rome.
We applaud their fights, but we talk about human coexistence.
We pray for education, however we destroy our (Earth) home.

Materialism is our purpose, orgasm for the conscience.
We say that are victims, but we commit a huge crime.
Knowledge is a way to separate, We cause pain with science.
