Smells Like Chicory. Poem by Chloe Armstrong

Smells Like Chicory.

You may wonder,
Even ponder,
On what lies in the hills yonder.
If you take,
an adventurous gander.
You will see a coat hanger.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I remember one day, I came across a rather large hill when I was hiking in the countryside. It was cold, stormy, and it made me realize how much my feet hurt, and how I wanted to go home.
From that day forward I became known as, 'she who never goes outside'.
