Smile Poem by bob barci

Smile

When all goes wrong
and the day, too gloomy,
Smile.
When friends are few,
and you're on your own,
Smile.
Tomorrow's sun is today's hope.
Someone holds you dear.
You've heard it before,
but nothing is quite as bad as it seems.
We make it worse than it is.
When people stare
with the coldest eyes,
Smile.
When people scream and shout,
Smile.
Your twinkle is their hope,
Your serenest, their salvation.
Behold!
A smile, and nothing else, counts.
