Smile And Forget Poem by Beena Kesavan

Smile And Forget

I thought you would stand by my side
But you stood there and watched me cry
It hurt to know that all you used to do was lie
You watched my spirit and soul die
So I don't care what you say now
You can watch me go
And I hope you know
I don't care about you anymore
So when I see you,
Just to irritate,
I just smirk and say hey
And then regret and pain come flooding to your facial expression
Then all I can do,
Is smile and forget the garbage that happened before...
And forget you forever.
