I walk with a smile on my face
Even though deep down my heart aches
I laugh with all in this life's phase
While deep down my heart searches

Blaming the world I have done
Blaming my past I have too
The present I don't enjoy
The future looks dimmer than before

I wish I was as strong as my momma
And as kind as my lil sis
And mostly as enduring my grand
For the world she has seen and beat it she has

Despite all that I endure
I walk with a smile on my face
And look up to the sky
For a sign from God

One day I'll be free
From the heartache of love
Or one day I'll eventually be gone
Leaving this world behind
Wearing a smile of a failure
