Smiles And Tears Poem by Kasturi Sinha

Smiles And Tears

Rating: 5.0

Smiles and tears
Just like two fingers
Of the palm
One if encourages,
Other simply threatens
Lips open forming,
A semicircle of happiness
But closing eyes,
Pricks a bit
Being nostalgic,
While sitting on a couch
In a dark room,
After a long silence
Two drops fall at a time.
Without any sound,
Heart breaks
Still there lies a smile
Me, contradicts
What a Joke!
I am too far
From Ecstasy
Thus all this ambiguity!
I never did understand, never!
How smile and Tear stay together
As if being the daughter
Of same mother
